It begins with a 25-year friendship, a love for our hometown, and a passion for food.

 

We both grew up here, meeting many great people along the way. The “owning our own restaurant” conversation began in our early 20’s after getting some experience through summer jobs. We each discovered on our own that this was our calling. We pursued this calling at various places, learning more at each level.

 

While the experience outside our comfort zone was valuable, it wasn’t until we left DeFuniak and later returned, that we had a deeper appreciation for this small town and its people – our people.

 

Over the years of working in the Food Industry and encountering each other in professional and personal settings, we kept having that conversation.

 

Our lives welcomed us with beautiful daughters, remarkable experiences, and countless opportunities. We had our family and our friends. As time went on, our friends became our family. The conversation was still there yet we weren’t quite ready for the leap.

 

A few more years passed. One day we were tired of talking about it. We saw an untapped market and potential to give something back to DeFuniak. Because of our combined knowledge and expertise, we knew with some patience and dedication, the rest would fall into place.

 

And with a location available in DeFuniak, RollOut was born. It was a perfect pairing. As the good people of DeFuniak always have done, we received an incredible outreach of support for our new endeavor.

 

So here we are. Summer jobs turned into a lifelong journey with a dream realized. We have grown in so many different directions, but still come from the same place. We are proud to have this establishment here in our hometown with our family.
